The Scholarship Screening Committee reviewed
fifty-nine applications for the 2008-2009 academic year.
The Scholarship Screening Committee included Norm Ashfeld, Chair, Department
of Transportation; Michelle Smith, Department of Corrections and Mike Yanda, Department of Employment and Economic Development..
There are always more deserving applicants
than available scholarships; however, the Screening Committee
had to make the difficult decision of choosing the winners. The
applicants chosen illustrated not only outstanding academic achievement,
but a balance of community service, work experience and family
obligations.
The recipients for member category are:
Wayne Boerner
NR Supervisor 2, Department of Natural Resources - Parks
Lucia Hunt
Agricultural Unit Supervisor, Department of Agriculture
The recipients for dependent category are:
Mitchell Springer
Mother is Debra Springer; Forensic Science Supervisor, Department of Public Safety
Molly McShea
Mother is Sheila McShea; Corrections Lieutenant, Department of Corrections
Donna Allen
Father is Brian Allen; Management Info Systems Supervisor 2, MnSCU
Nicholas Yozamp
Father is Scott Yozamp; Corrections Lieutenant, Department of Corrections
