The appointments to the MMA Negotiations Team for the 2007-2009 MMA contract have been finalized.
The MMA Executive Committee approved the following supervisors to represent MMA members at this year’s contract negotiations:
Norm Ashfeld, Transportation
Milo Degeest, Human Services
Foster Hudson, Natural Resources
James Manson, Revenue
Larry Nicholson, MnSCU
Dave Oelrich, Corrections
James Pointer, Natural Resources
Lee Purdham, Transportation
Kathy Smith, Labor & Industry
Karen Wagner, Employment & Economic Development
Mike Bona, Jim McKane, Tom McShea, and MMA Attorney Ron Rollins will provide staff support to the Negotiations Team.
The Negotiations Team reviewed all the contract survey data and associated comments received from MMA members and is currently in the process of drafting MMA’s contract proposals in preparation for face-to-face negotiations with the State’s management representatives. We anticipate that negotiations will not begin until later in July or early August. MMA and the State are presently working on scheduling the initial meetings between the parties.
