All state employees should have received
a letter by now from the Commissioner of DOER announcing the Minnesota
Advantage Meds program. MMA believes that this is a worthwhile
effort on the part of the state and will clearly save state supervisors
who are on maintenance drugs a significant amount of money. Supervisors
should understand that this program is being questioned by the
Federal government, and they could stop its promotion at any time
in the future. However, supervisors who can forego any co-pays
on a drug purchase through the Canadian drug program will still
save money.
