On Friday, March 30, 2007 Middle Management Association and Department of Employee Relations representatives signed an agreement on the long awaited salary inequity agreement. As announced in previous updates, the agreement addresses only a few MMA-represented job classifications. MMA was successful in convincing the State representatives to make improvements and modifications to each of their previous proposals.
Specific job classifications and range reassignments are as follows:
Classification Title
Current Compensation Code
Reassigned Compensation Code effective August 23, 2006
Registered Nurse Supervisor
20L
22L
Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor
23L
25L
Health Facility Evaluator Supervisor 1
20L
21L
Health Facility Evaluator Supervisor 2
21L
22L
Health Facility Evaluator Supervisor 3
22L
23L
Health Resource Supervisor
20L
21L
The salary range reassignments are effective retroactive to August 23, 2006 . Supervisors will convert to the new salary ranges via the “low cost” method which means that some supervisors will have their salaries adjusted retroactive to August 23, 2006 and will see immediate salary increases and other supervisors will be required to wait until their “salary anniversary date” to see their increase.
Agency Human Resource and Payroll personnel are being provided detailed instructions for implementing the range reassignments and individual salary increases which are expected to be processed with other April 18, 2007 payroll period transactions. Supervisors are encouraged to direct their individual salary and range reassignment questions to these agency personnel or to MMA staff.
Thank you, once again, for your patience as MMA and the State worked through this extremely complex issue.
